Adelong Gold, in partnership with its joint venture partner, is making swift progress in bringing the historic Challenger Gold Mine in Adelong, NSW, back into full production.
The first gold pour took place on 16 July, witnessed on-site by members of both company boards and key stakeholders. This milestone marks the successful commissioning of the refurbished, environmentally friendly gravity plant—operating without the use of chemical additives.
The joint venture will now shift its focus to commercial-scale production, further resource delineation, and exploration aimed at uncovering additional reserves and new discoveries. With production and commissioning activities now well underway, Adelong Gold and its joint venture partner join the ASX ranks as Australia’s newest gold producers.
Adelong Gold remains committed to advancing its Lauriston Project—an expansive 28,700-hectare tenement situated in a highly prospective region, directly adjacent to the world-renowned Fosterville Gold Mine, globally recognised as the highest-grade gold operation, with production grades averaging 28 g/t and historically reaching up to 40 g/t.
