Trigg appoints antimony industry stalwart

Trigg Minerals has announced the appointment of antimony industry stalwart, Wiehann Kleynhans as vice president of US downstream operations.

Kleynhans played a pivotal role as head of business development in the development of the world’s largest Antimony roaster outside of China, the SPMP Antimony roaster in Oman.

He brings exceptional expertise and know-how to the company, in its pursuit of progressing from explorer to producer.

Previously, Kleynhans was business development manager at mining mammoth MMG Limited (subsidiary of Minmetals), where he directed operational management and other responsibilities for a US$600M Copper and Cobalt expansion project in the DRC’s Kinsevere mine.

The appointment of Kleynhans signifies Trigg Minerals intent to produce Antimony in the United States from it’s recently acquired Antimony Canyon project. Additionally, the appointment adds the necessary expertise to pursue U.S. federal government funding initiatives for critical minerals.
